Creating Positive Outcomes

Its Great to be Out!

The weather in May was a little unpredictable but we managed to get out and about into the fresh air as much as possible.

Our mini bus trips have been re-introduced. Residents have enjoyed little tours of the area as well as trips to our holiday home at Combe Haven Holiday Park.  We are unable to go to our usual destinations because of the pandemic, we are following all Government guidelines, but it is so good to be out and about again!

We also have two new wheelchair cars enabling us to take residents on one to one and small group trips. Residents have loved going out for a take away, drink, ice cream or just a trip to the sea front.

When the sun has been shining residents have enjoyed a walk along the promenade, the park or just around the gardens of the homes.

It is the time of year when we are working in our gardens, residents have been involved in planting bedding plants and vegetable gardens at all of the homes.  We have also had residents supporting the maintenance team by painting the garden fences.

Everyone likes to spend sometime outside especially on a warm day after the long winter. We have encouraged as many activities to be outside as possible, fresh air is good for the soul.
