Creating Positive Outcomes

Various April Activities

The variety of our wonderful activities continued into April.

Every month the activity co-ordinators get together to discuss ideas and create their own planner for the next month with particular activities that would benefit their residents.

We have been privileged to be involved in a new project 'Everyday Creativity'.  Our activity co-ordinators have been supported with ideas and projects working in a one to one capacity with a selection of residents. The outcomes have been wonderful, we are very grateful to of been chosen to be part of this scheme. The activities include, a gardening project, reminiscing using ipads, all of the sensory activities induce conversations and discussions.

As well as birthday celebrations, regular activities throughout April have been; parachute games, puzzles, pub quizzes, creative art and craft sessions leading to a display at the De La Warr Pavillion in Bexhill, baking, gardening, making salt dough, creating pressed flower mobiles, games, pamper sessions, flower arranging, sensory smelling games, lots of exercise including dance, balloon games, volley ball with balloons, and pom pom fun.

When the weather has allowed, we have begun safely getting back into the community. Walks in a local park and along the prom and one to one car trips for a change of scenery have been enjoyed.

As normality returns we hope to re-introduce out bus trips, we are all very much looking forward to this.
