Creating Positive Outcomes

Various March Activities

March welcomed Spring with some dry sunny weather which enabled residents to take strolls in the  park and on the sea front.

We celebrated Mothering Sunday with many gifts arriving for 'Mum's', a delicious afternoon tea and some flower making crafts.  March also brought St Patricks Day. The kitchen teams made a traditional Irish lunch and snack was Guinness cake washed down with a cheeky drink of Guinness. The common areas were decorated with flags, shamrocks and pixies.

In March we also enjoyed 'World Book Day', reminiscing and discussing books we enjoyed as a child.

Whitebriars celebrated 'International day of Happiness'. There was lots of discussion of happy times in our lives and what we felt grateful and happy for now. Sweet chocolate treats were shared with everyone as well as a glass of fizz.

Our activities teams were busy organising their regular monthly plan which included; aromatherapy massage, floor games, pet therapy, wildlife bingo, time in the garden with the home dogs, flower arranging, puzzles, gardening, sensory games, arts and crafts, dance and exercise, pampering manicures, indoor golf, self portraits, parachute games, reminiscing activities, board games, sewing, music, ice cream and popcorn afternoons, helping to prepare suppers/snacks and some gentlemen working with the maintenance teams.

Whitecliff welcomed their first outside entertainment, Sam from  They performed well known songs from the garden and encouraged residents to join in with instruments that they provided. We are hoping Sam will entertain our residents at our other homes soon.

There is always something to do everyday.
