Gastronomic Delights

Our residents have an opportunity to enjoy a baking activity at least once a week. Various delights are made including, cup cakes, tray bakes, bread, pizzas, and pastries.

Residents are also encouraged to join in general 'chore' activities to support the kitchen staff. This includes vegetable and fruit preparation and the laying of tables in the dining rooms.  We have some residents who do these tasks on a daily basis and they have gained really special relationships with the chefs and kitchen teams.

Apart from providing a well balanced menu using fresh local ingredients, the kitchen teams produce various tasty treats, for example during September residents have enjoyed a canape tasting afternoon, afternoon teas and themed tasting events organised in conjunction with the activities teams.
