Creating Positive Outcomes

Various other activities in July

We were lucky enough to once again enjoy some lovely sunny weather during July.  This enabled our residents to get outside and enjoy the gardens as well as gradually introducing outings slightly further afield on the minibus.

In our gardens we enjoyed eating alfresco, having refreshing drinks and snacks as well as garden games, arts and crafts and gardening activities.

We enjoyed some competitive team games as well as small group and one to one games of 'names on heads', scrabble, frustration, chess, four in a row, pictionary, bingo, horse racing and word searches.

Pamper sessions are always popular, and without our visiting hairdresser at the moment, this has become even more important. Some of our talented carers have turned their hands to hair colouring and styling with great success.

We have been continuing our project of personalising bedrooms. This has been a wonderful one to one activity, reminiscing about the interests and loves of the resident and coming up with some great ideas for the residents personal space.

We have introduced a book club at Whitecliff and together we are reading books chosen by our residents.

We now are welcoming visitors and have designated areas for pre-arranged visits.
