Creating Positive Outcomes

Week beginning 22nd June

For a limited period we have decided to temporarily cease to update facebook/instagram daily, instead we will be updating the website every week with what has been going on in our day to day lives throughout isolation at Coast Care Homes.

Once again the week has seen a packed activity programme across all of the Coast Care Homes.

Arts and crafts, Flower arranging, help with cooking chores, board games, outdoor garden games, music therapy, quizzes, gardening and pamper sessions have been enjoyed.

The continuing project of personalising rooms has seen a patriotic display in the bedroom of a big Royal Family fan at Whitecliff and other bedrooms that are coming along nicely.

Residents at Whitecliff have been creating a 'Walking Through Time' display of the decades of the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's. This has been a wonderful reminiscing experience which will continue to be enjoyed.

We have been able to welcome back a few family members to visit their loved ones. This is by appointment only and is weather dependant in the garden areas.  We continue to work within government guidelines at all times to protect our residents and staff.

Every week during lockdown the directors have given small treats to the staff teams. We have seen lottery tickets, sweet treats, ice cream van visits and bacon sandwiches. This week all team members received a small gift pack in recognition of all their hard work during these difficult times. Their care and commitment to our residents has been outstanding and hugely appreciated.

We are fortunate to welcome staff dogs into the homes everyday. Residents make meaningful relationships with the pets and the dogs love all the attention and cuddles too!
