Arts and crafts activities were themed around Halloween and the up and coming Remembrance Day and our own 'Forces Day' celebrations planned for November.
We organise large, small and one to one activities to suit each individual resident and day care client.
One to one activities included supporting a resident who had been a window cleaner all his working life help clean our windows at Whitecliff. We took a lady who loves the sea but finds our regular bus trips a bit daunting, to the seafront for an icecream. We arranged for a gentleman from Whitebriars to go shopping for a card for his sons wedding, we managed a cheeky scone and coffee on the trip too.
We are fortunate to be involved with the Hastings 'POSH' club. On a Friday afternoon a group of residents from St Leonards enjoy and afternoon of live entertainment and an afternoon tea, this is proving to be very popular.
The usual activities of baking, games, puzzles, reminiscing, arts and crafts, life drawing, pamper sessions, quizzes, music entertainment, supper preparation, household chores, and bus trips were enjoyed throughout the month.
