More July Activities

The warm and sunny month of July was as busy as ever.

Our residents were able to enjoy the hot summer by spending a lot of time in our maintained gardens. Some meals were served 'Al Fresco', including some breakfasts and bbq's.

Residents were able to enjoy time at Combe Haven where we have our holiday home. A few residents stayed at the caravan, enjoying a mini break. This included going into Eastbourne on a a 'girly' shopping trip, having lunch out and plenty of laughing and chatting!

Sixty passes to Combe Haven can be used at one time, so we regularly use the Coast Care bus to take our residents to use the facilities at the park resort. This is usually done in small groups of eight or less. Sometimes it is just nice to sit and watch the holiday makers having fun while having a cup of tea. Many lunches have been enjoyed by our residents, as well as watching the entertainment.

Our arts and crafts at Whitecliff and Whitebeach have been focused on the Whitecliff summer party which has a 'Country and Western' theme. Whitebriars did some wonderful art work with Sarah of Creative Minds, they themed their pieces on seagulls and beach huts.

One of our residents from Whitebriars enjoyed a one to one evening visit to the Bexhill Proms.

The usual quizzes, bingo, games, reminiscing, baking, one to one and group activities took place throughout the busy month.
