Creating Positive Outcomes

A busy month of celebrations, birthdays and anniversarys

July was a busy month of celebrations.

We had two wedding anniversary's in July.Together with the families we organised intimate celebrations for the couples to enjoy.

We organised a surprise afternoon tea for a daughter to have privately with her Mum within the home setting. Both enjoyed tea with scones, jam and cream and especially spending time together.

One of our lovely residents who is originally from Jamaica enjoyed a Jamaican Caribbean party. Her daughter made the food including Jerk Chicken and Ackee and Saltfish. Our wonderful pastry chef made a fantastic cake of the Jamaican flag. Aaron from the maintenance team became a DJ for the day, he provided some typically Caribbean music. It was a beautiful hot day so we were able to celebrate in the garden, drinking fruit smoothies and cocktails.

One of our gentlemen residents for his birthday, was taken for a quiet pint with fish and chips, he was joined by a couple of male friend residents.

Other traditional birthday celebrations were held in the residents honour, we always try to organise 'treat' for the resident that is perfect and suitable for that individual.
