Student Volunteers visit Coast Care Homes

Students from Bexhill Hive came to Coast Care Homes to do some voluntary work as part of their National Citizen Service Award.

They created a charity 'Old but Gold', which they fund raised for prior to coming to spend time with us.

The Students worked closely with our activities co-ordinator, they spent time with the residents individually and in small groups taking time to really get to know them.

At the end of their visit they brought gifts into the homes for the residents. The gifts were so kindly thought out for each of the residents likes and interests, we were touched by their generosity.

The week that they came to us we were working towards a 'Grease' themed party. Although this was after their visit had ended and it was GSCE result day, majority of the students came in for the party, dressed up and ready to join in the fun.

It was a great experience for the students, residents and the staff, we would like to thank them very much.
