Halloween Fun and Fireworks

All our residents, day care residents, staff and families had a really enjoyable 'spooky' evening to celebrate Halloween. Residents from Whitecliff residential care home joined with residents at Whitebeach home for our party.

The previous week had been full of lots of arts and crafts in preparation for the big event. Residents, coloured, painted, glued, paper mache and carved out pumpkins to make the day centre and living areas look a little scary and spooky!

On Monday 31st, those residents who wanted to dressed up in their frightening costumes or had their faces painted to be part of the fun. Our staff joined in by dressing up too, hoots of laughter could be heard all around the building.

Some of our staff's children came along dressed up for trick or treat, it was lovely to have them join us for the fun filled evening.

Once we had eaten a party tea including hot dogs and burgers, we all made our way outside in the garden to watch fireworks from the decking.

Plenty of 'Oooohs, Arhhhhhs and squeals could be heard at the colourful display.

We finished the event by dancing and singing to party music and having a piece of delicious Halloween cake made by the manager.
