Creating Positive Outcomes

Harvest Celebrations

On Friday 14th October at Coast Care Homes we celebrated Harvest Festival at Whitebeach. Residents from our sister home Whitecliff and our day care clients joined together in preparations for the day.  The preceding week was full of arts and crafts, we made autumn hats, pressed flower/leaf pictures, mosaic pictures, sculptured leaves using salt dough, painting, collage, all with an autumnal theme.

The Homes are full of colourful artwork for everyone to enjoy.

After having a discussion on the selection of harvested vegetables that we had on display, evoking memories of past growing, preparing and eating, our residents enjoyed preparing the vegetables before it was made by our chefs Mark and Gary, into a delicious soup that was enjoyed by everyone.

Our staff, residents, family and friends were encouraged to donate tins of food to the collection boxes that we had a Whitebeach and Whitecliff. We are very pleased to be  supporting  Doms Food Mission based in Hastings,

We ended the week with a Harvest Festival Celebration party, residents and day care clients enjoyed, singing and dancing to the musical entertainment.
