Activities in May

With exceptionally good weather this May we were able to enjoy a lot of our activities outside.

At all of the homes residents enjoyed playing badminton, swing ball and table tennis outside in the garden. Some residents just enjoyed sitting quietly relaxing in the sunshine. At Whitecliff residents enjoyed breakfast 'Al fresco'.

Our arts and crafts activities concentrated on making decorations for our up and coming summer fetes. We had the opportunity to work with clay and made horse shoes for the 'Country and Western' party to be held at Whitecliff. And plenty of bright colours were used making parrots, pineapples and palm trees for the 'Hawaii' party at Whitebeach.

We encouraged our residents to plant up pots so we can all enjoy the colouring blooms later in the summer. Residents enjoy the task of watering these everyday.

The activity co-ordinators and the staff teams organised a letter writing afternoon, residents really enjoyed the one to one activity at Whitebeach and Whitecliff.

Residents at Whitebriars spent an afternoon hat making with Creative Minds.

The usual quizzes, bingo, baking afternoons, skittles and bus trips out were enjoyed regularly at all three homes.

A party is always enjoyed, we had plenty of birthdays to celebrate this month including a residents 99th birthday at Whitebriars.
